Essay Competition - April 2012

For some time our trustees have been concerned that yet more divisions are being created between the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches and that there is a need for a clearer understanding of what it means to be an Anglican.

To this end a prize essay competition was announced inviting people to write on the subject of Why I am an Anglican and believe I shall remain so.   It attracted 64 entries from many different countries and the winning essay can be found below.  It was submitted by Natacha-Ingrid Tinteroff from France and the judges were two retired diocesan Bishops.

Much good material has been obtained and the Trust is delighted to post both the full and a simplified version of the winning entry together with 10 others which were highly rated.

You might wish to read the Editors' note and Judges' comments first.
